SMP Engineering designed electrical systems for TransAlta's office relocation, featuring flexible workspaces, advanced technology, and robust power infrastructure in Calgary's TransAlta Tower.
SMP was engaged as the electrical engineering consultant for TransAlta’s office relocation to the newly renamed building, TransAlta Tower. Leasing a total of 100,600 ft2, the project consisted of a full demolition and fit-out of the space, with an overall goal of providing flexible workspaces and leveraging technology throughout. SMP’s scope included the central server room, central UPS, back-up power generator on the roof, and fuel storage in the parkade.
